In order to settle the age-old debate of whether a Hot Dog is a Sandwich, IAB Tech Lab has created the Food Item Classification Framework (FICF). Version 4.1 has been released for public comment on April 1, 2026, and we are accepting proposals for v2 at marketing@iabtechlab.com for April 1, 2027.
